matter

a message from our CEO

It is clear, our members are a vital part of the continued growth that is happening all around us. As a chamber, we are continually upping the game to make sure there are exceptional opportunities to network, educate and stay ahead of the business curve. There has never been a time more important to communicate, share ideas and properly market the extraordinary experience of spending time in our region. The summer season puts demands on every business whether or not it is seasonal. Take advantage of the upcoming business events we have scheduled, if you need to unwind or gear up we are offering a chance to connect with colleagues in a variety of ways.

We cannot do anything with our local member support, as all we do revolves around our community. I cannot thank you all enough for the tremendous involvement that we have on every level.

Lori Pepenella

Meet the Bakers

Four Generations of Bakers mixing in 50 years of camping tradition to the LBI Region

Reds and Anne Baker loved camping, realizing that is was the most cost effective vacation a family can take. With their five children, they would explore different areas. They belonged to the Levittown Camping Club and rock hunted when vacationing in NY State and PA, and enjoyed the beauty of the shore. But it was a draw to Southern Ocean County where a chance meeting with previous mayor of Barnegat, Elmer Seaman where Reds’ dream of opening his own campground become part of Jersey Shore history.
