Land & Sea

Vol. 6, Issue #3 – May & June 2020

make it

matter

a message from our CEO

Throughout this crisis, there has been a tremendous amount of information shared on both the businesses side and the consumers. This past weekend showed that demand for our destination is here, but consumer confidence is off. We have been building tools to help your business amplify its outreach. When we announced the launch of our Refresh Initiative during Tourism and Small Business weeks, we discussed the concept of our campaign playbook, our Welcome by Land & Sea messaging and our new visitLBIregion.com website. We have worked with Vinyl as well as countless hours with our Atlas CRM representatives to make sure we launch a site that that fits the model of this new normal.

The timing is critical as we launch our region into the summer season where online visibility is the key. We invite you to go to our website and see it as the travelers will, with our members presented in an authentic and dynamic way. Our chamber business information is in there as well, powering the consumer side with LBI Region experts. We have dedicated this newsletter to the functionality of this site, to introduce you to first steps of what this site can do. There will be much more to come as we roll out the site features into the fall. It is time to refresh our regional outlook, and promote what our business community can offer. We are encouraging you to take part in this week’s play of making a personal message to our viewers, so we can share on our social platforms. Please take the time to see what is happening on visitLBiregion.com.

Stay safe and be well,

Lori Pepenella

New Website!

Opening on a fully consumer facing portion of our site, the website was designed to promote the region and support our local businesses, while offering increased opportunities for visibility for our members. The site offers information and resources to help guide visitors planning a vacation here, year-round residents staying involved in events, and seasonal residents re-engaging with the community.

The directory houses all members, organized by business type, allowing visitors to easily narrow their search by category. A search feature is available for users to quickly find your business by searching a keyword or organization name. A marketplace showcases members with online markets, creating a link between visitors searches and your virtual stores. Member’s listings will also be pulled into select blog posts and attractions as promotional and informative points of interest for viewers.

The Chamber portion of the website focuses on housing important news, events, and updates specifically for our Chamber Members. The Member Portal is your place to update your own listing, pay your bills, submit an event, and more. Look forward to future features, including a Job Board, where members can post their open positions.

Play the video below, and explore current features on our new home base! To learn more about the Member Portal and how you can access it, read on!

We will be creating a press release highlighting the “Welcoming You to the LBI Region Series” to launch next week. All businesses are welcome to participate, and we encourage anyone interested to contact kate@sochamber.com with any questions.
