make it

a message from our CEO

With spring comes many new beginnings, and we are always thankful for the opportunity to introduce innovative ways to keep business in our region moving forward. During this busy time with many members reopening for the season and others preparing for increased business, please take time to check out the first-time business events added to our calendar. In the next few weeks we hold our first Food Allergy Class for members in food service and by popular demand expanding our Founded in Family program with a dedicated family business workshop.

With all the preparations, our chamber cannot overlook the importance of advocating for a pristine coastline, that is why our first resolution for 2018 was opposing off shore drilling in New Jersey. With the demand for our materials at travel shows and out of area events on the rise, we remind you to send your 2018 material to our visitor center for consumer display both in locally and to take with us out of area. Thanks to so many of our members who have kept our winter networking and meetings going strong with the highest turn outs on record. Good things to come, looking forward to seeing you there!

The Sarapoulo Family from Lefty’s Tavern

Eight Years of Milestones and much more in store, the Sarapoulo Family and their team is doing something right at Lefty’s Tavern.

You might say that both Lefty Saropoulos and his wife Jennifer were born to run their family business. Both grew up in Southern Ocean County, spending most of their childhood’s right in Barnegat. In 2009, the opportunity came to them to open Lefty’s Tavern at 547 North Main Street in Barnegat from two employees who worked at the location under the ownership of Monte’s.
